Bears are very common around the rivers we fish. They are not usually a problem but you can't ever get too relaxed.

I've had bears sneak up behind my clients while the client had a fish on. Some bears have even tried to take the fish

off the clients line. This could be very funny if it wasn't so damn scary. I haven't had to shoot

one yet (and have no desire to) but have gotten close on a couple of occasions.
